Yeshiva Nehora

Yeshiva Nehora

The founder and Rosh HaYeshiva is Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Greenbaum, an educator who has meticulously observed the evolving needs of our generation over the years. He understood what was required and sprang into action, providing a first-of-its-kind response to the educational dilemmas faced by religious youth.

With broad support from leading rabbis, Rabbi Greenbaum established a unique educational institution. It’s a place where worlds meet, serving as a nurturing environment for raising the future generation. This is Yeshivat ‘Nehora’, where bochurim – sons of Haredi families – are educated. These families seek to raise their sons as Torah scholars alongside the integration of high-level secular studies and the acquisition of tools for the future, embodying the concept of “Torah Im Derech Eretz”.

The yeshiva is located on a magnificent campus at the entrance to the community of Mevo Horon, situated between Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. This adds a dignified and comfortable physical dimension to the spirituality and sense of family that characterizes the place.

The Yeshiva’s Atmosphere and Educational Approach

The atmosphere within the yeshiva’s walls is one of growth, flourishing, and blossoming. It allows the young men studying here to elevate themselves in Torah and avodat H’, receiving guidance for their questions, answers to their needs, and practical tools for confronting life’s challenges.

The educational method, developed over years of experience by the Rosh Yeshiva, Rabbi Greenbaum, places great emphasis on:

  • Selecting a top-tier educational staff.
  • Daily staff meetings.
  • Constant involvement of the Ramim in the study sessions – both morning and evening.
  • Personal attention to each student and understanding their unique needs.
  • Academic support provided by an excellent team of avrechim.
  • A series of private lessons in secular subjects.
  • Diverse social activities.
  • High-standard dormitory conditions and a spiritual atmosphere that fosters growth and upliftment.
