At the summit of the city of Upper Tiberias, in a magical landscape overlooking the Sea of Galilee and the Golan Heights, lies the ideal place – an educational campus that combines high-level religious, theoretical, and technological studies, taught by lecturers and teachers with higher education and extensive educational experience.
The location of the Midrasha in Upper Tiberias is not accidental. It provides an elementary contribution to the spiritual status of the students. Here, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, from the commotion and the tourists that flood Tiberias, from the street and what it represents, it is possible to have a greater influence and to strengthen the foundations. The pastoral view, the expansive lawns, and the buildings spread across the campus, broaden a person’s mind, and the person itself, in this case, is a young bochur seeking to become a whole person, as complete as possible.
Students arrive at the institution via transportation organized by the Midrasha. The transport passes through all the cities where the students reside every Sunday after a restful Shabbat and picks them up. On Sabbath eve, the transportation makes the return journey to their home districts.
The Midrasha is intended for Haredi youth aged 13-17 who have not found their place in the holy yeshivas. They are referred here by community members, principals of Talmud Torahs or yeshivas, and mainly by parents who have heard of the Midrasha’s good reputation.
The Midrasha is supervised and recognized by the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Welfare, and MATAN. The vast majority of graduates integrate into large yeshivas after receiving a solid spiritual and emotional foundation. The remainder are directed to further technological studies.
