Yeshiva Ma’arava

Yeshiva Ma’arava

Yeshivat Ma’arava, under the leadership of Rabbi Baruch Chait shlit”a, has set a goal to cultivate Torah scholars who are successful and excel in all areas of life. The guiding principle is to provide students with “keys to life” that will enable them to maximize their abilities and talents, whether they choose to continue in the world of Torah or the world of practical affairs.

Alongside excellence in Torah study, emphasis is placed on good middot, truth, integrity, and the study of Sifrei Musar. This unique combination of Torah education, preparation for practical life, activity and dedication to all of Israel, together with Derech Eretz, leads students and alumni to sanctify H’s name wherever they are and in all areas of life.

A Word from the Yeshiva:

We view the triangle of perfection as an ideal:

  • Mind: In Torah study and, lehavdil, in other subjects.
  • Soul: Yirat Shamayim, prayer, good middot, personal development, and social activities – song and melody.
  • Body: In health, good nutrition, physical activity, sports, and fitness.

We believe in developing the “person” as a necessary first step for the formation of the “Ben Torah” personality. The special atmosphere prevailing in the yeshiva, the enthusiasm, and the cultivation of personal connections between students and the yeshiva’s rabbis, as well as among the friends themselves, are an integral part of building and developing the complete person, embodying “greatness of the person.”

Based on this principle, we add additional programs beyond the regular curriculum – “Mishmar” on Friday night, holidays in the yeshiva, trips, field days, guest lecturers, and more. All of these enrich and develop the student’s personality, fostering joy in life, love of humanity, love of Torah, and love of the Land of Israel.

Boarding school life provides a suitable and complementary environment at the end of the school day. Students have the time and opportunity to continue developing outside the formal study framework and to build relationships between friends and staff. The boarding school has a professional and experienced team that includes two counselors, families living on the premises, and a dormitory manager.
