Yeshiva Chayei Olam

Yeshiva Chayei Olam strives to raise Bnei Torah who are multifaceted individuals equipped with all the necessary tools for a Torah-observant life in the contemporary world. The Limudei kodesh are conducted in the traditional yeshiva method of learning, out of a clear conviction that this is the only way to influence and elevate the students’ souls, as well as to ensure the continuation of their Torah identity.

Great emphasis is placed on education towards fear of Heaven and good character traits in the light of our teachers, the masters of Mussar (ethics) and the luminaries of Hasidut, may their holy memory be a blessing (zy”a). The format of the general (secular) studies is designed to allow for equal opportunities for our graduates at any crossroads they choose later in life.

The yeshiva guides its students toward high aspirations and dignified conduct stemming from a developed sense of self-worth, all while providing warm and personal, yet non-formulaic, attention. A strong emphasis is placed on maintaining a pleasant and unburdening climate, with an atmosphere of joy and spiritual uplift, created through the warm and supportive relationship between the staff members and the students.

A word from the Yeshiva: “We advocate for developing the students’ identity not based on the negation of the other, but on the clarification of one’s own ‘self.’ This education allows the graduate in the future to operate in a diverse environment while preserving his values, and at the same time opening his heart to one who is different from him.”

The staff is mostly from an Anglo-Saxon background but was raised and educated in yeshivas in Israel. This creates a mental closeness that enables good communication with the students and their parents, while simultaneously allowing them to guide the students toward maximum integration into the Israeli-Haredi experience.
