There is no a solution tailored exactly to your sons’ needs!
“Shearim to English” prepares students to study English at the yeshiva.
The preparatory program will operate at learning centers near the Haredi community or at the yeshivas themselves.
Studies will be conducted in small groups by an experienced English teacher.
The curriculum is based on a unique English teaching program, enabling each student to progress at his pace and level. This model was selected for its suitability to the needs of Talmud Torah or Heder students.
The preparatory course goes on for two months, where the lessons are conducted two hours a week.
The sessions will be followed by independent study at home in order to practice and acquire the language, using workbooks or dedicated computer programs.
Lessons at the study center will take place in the late afternoon (after Talmud Torah and Heder studies).
The program will be accompanied by senior and experienced educators in the Haredi educational system.

Preliminary Sessions

The curriculum is based on preliminary learning sessions and independent study.
The few classroom sessions are intended for priming. In other words: Preparing for the study, establishing processing processes and helping to internalize the material before the student begins independent studies.
Five sessions will be conducted at the learning centers for this purpose.
The sessions will be followed by independent study at home in order to practice and acquire the language, using workbooks or dedicated computer programs.
The program will be accompanied by senior and experienced educators in the Haredi educational system.

How does it work?

The first session will be dedicated to introducing the program and its objectives to the students and to providing guidance on how to study in class and at home. Parents may join the first part of the session, upon prior coordination. Studentwill be offered telephone support from the teacher for practicing at home, as needed.

Who is it for?

The program is intended for 7th grade students and is also suitable for those who do not use a computer at home or who use a computer only when permitted by his parents. In addition, students can use suitable workbooks for practicing at home.

Does the program cost money?

The program is free for the student’s family. Participation requires the student to register and commit to study diligently. The only payment is the symbolic registration fee (50 NIS), which will be refunded upon successfully completing the program.
